Oh no they didn’t! After everything Donald Trump has said about Taylor Swift?!?
On Monday, the official White House account on TikTok uploaded a slideshow showcasing photos of soldiers, warships, members of the Trump administration, the President’s infamous mugshot, and more… and they set it to the tune of The Fate of Ophelia — Taylor’s leadoff music video from her new album The Life of a Showgirl. Watch (below):
@whitehouse OUR VIBES ????????
Seriously?? Even after she’s made it VERY clear she doesn’t support him?? Which sent him on a months-long spiral, mind you!

In the comments, Swifties did their duty calling out the White House’s use of the song:
“Immediately no.”
“TAYLOR SWIFT SUE THEM FOR USING YOUR SONG!”
“maga is so desperate to seem mainstream that they’re using the music of the woman they’ve been publicly attacking since the 2010s. Lmao”
“oh absolutely not.”
“TAYLOR DOES NOT EVEN LIKE YALL”
“Someone get Tree [Paine] on the phone ASAP.”
“taylor dont fuck with yall and you know it so knock it off”
“taylor’s gonna be maaaadddddd”
“How dare you use a Taylor Swift song after publicly sharing multiple times how you ‘hate’ her. The audacity of this admin is wild.”
As you may recall, when Taylor endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, Trump completely crashed out. He took to Truth Social to declare at the time:
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
Following suit months later, he continued to berate the pop super star on the conservative app while comparing her popularity to that of Sydney Sweeney — “a registered Republican”:
“Look at Woke singer Taylor Swift. Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can’t stand her (HATE!). She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT. The tide has seriously turned — Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Yet the White House still finds it necessary to use her music for… popularity? Inneresting.
In response to the situation, a White House official scoffed at the controversy, telling Variety:
“We made this video because we knew fake news media brands like Variety would breathlessly amplify them. Congrats, you got played.”
Why does every official White House response these days sound like a teen influencer who hasn’t had PR coaching yet??
What are your reactions to this mess, Perezcious readers? Do you think Tay Tay will respond and force the White House to remove the audio? Sound OFF in the comments down below.
