Christian Gonzalez is speaking out about his coach Mike Vrabel, who is making headlines amid a photo scandal involving NFL reporter Dianna Russini.
The 23-year-old New England Patriots cornerback spoke out as his coach continues to go viral as photos continue to surface of Mike spending time with the NFL reporter over the years in various locations, which the coach is now calling a “personal and private matter.”
“We aren’t going to speak on what we talked about inside the building, but I mean, that’s my coach,” the NFL player told reporters at a press conference over the weekend, via Page Six.
“That’s who I go out and play for, and he’s proven what he can do as a coach. That’s my guy, and I’m right behind Vrabes any time of day.”
Quarterback Drake Maye echoed similar sentiments when speaking publicly about the scandal a few days prior.
“We’re here for coach. We love coach, what he does for us, what he’s done for us this past year — you can’t speak into words,” Drake told 7News (via NBC Sports). “Just thankful he’s our head coach. I know he’s dealing with some stuff off the field and out of the coaching world, we’re here for him. And I know he’s going to come back.”
A source just opened up about what’s going on between Vrabel and his wife amid all of the headlines.
He was seen in photos, apparently kissing reporter Dianna Russini, even though he was married at the time the photos were snapped in 2020. Mike and his wife Jennifer got married in 1999, and they are still married, as far as the public knows.
