American Express Platinum Card
The Amex Platinum Card is one of our favorite luxury travel cards thanks to its long list of useful benefits, including airport lounge access and valuable statement credits.

Why we love it: TPG credit cards editor Olivia Mittak finds solid value in the Amex Platinum’s benefits. Specifically, Olivia enjoys receiving up to $155 in Walmart+ statement credits per calendar year (up to $12.95 monthly, plus applicable taxes) that covers the cost of a monthly membership when paying with the Amex Platinum (on one membership, subject to auto-renewal; Plus Ups excluded).
Walmart+ includes a complimentary Paramount+ subscription (separate enrollment is required), which allows her to avoid paying out of pocket for the streaming service.
She also uses the card’s up to $300 annual Lululemon statement credit per calendar year at U.S. stores (excluding outlets) and online (allocated as up to $75 per quarter) and up to $400 annual Resy credit (distributed as up to $100 per quarter; simply pay with your Amex Platinum at an eligible U.S. Resy restaurant; no reservation is required). Olivia recently used her quarterly U.S. Resy statement credit to pay for dinner for herself and some friends.

Chase Sapphire Reserve
Chase’s top-tier travel card provides multiple perks and high earning rates for Chase Ultimate Rewards enthusiasts.

Why we love it: TPG partnerships and newsletter editor Emily Thompson‘s favorite Sapphire Reserve benefit is the card’s $300 annual travel credit. When Emily moved across the country earlier this year, she loved knowing that she could use this credit for any hotel she needed to stay in during her road trip.
Emily also used the Sapphire Reserve’s up to $300 annual StubHub statement credit (split into two up to $150 biannual credits) to surprise her parents with tickets to see their favorite comedian, Nate Bargatze. (The StubHub/Viagogo statement credit is available through Dec. 31, 2027; one-time activation is required.)

Capital One Venture Business
The Venture Business is Capital One’s newest business credit card and features simple earning rates with easy-to-use statement credits.

Why we love it: Earning Capital One miles is made easy with this card, thanks to its simple earning structure. You’ll earn:
- 5 miles per dollar spent on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Business Travel
- 2 miles per dollar spent on all other purchases
Capital One miles can be redeemed at a fixed value of 1 cent each through Capital One Business Travel or used to cover recent travel purchases. You can also transfer your miles to one of Capital One’s 15-plus loyalty program partners to potentially maximize the value of your rewards.

American Express Gold Card
The Amex Gold is one of our favorite credit cards for dining since it earns a stellar 4 points per dollar spent on purchases at restaurants worldwide, on up to $50,000 in purchases per calendar year, then 1 point per dollar spent thereafter.

Why we love it: Lyndsey Matthews, TPG’s managing editor for points and loyalty programs, easily redeems up to $10 in monthly Uber Cash credits† and up to $10 in monthly dining statement credits with select partners (enrollment is required for both benefits) on her Amex Gold. She said she uses her dining statement credit with Grubhub “without even trying.”
Plus, Lyndsey uses the Membership Rewards points earned with the card for solid redemptions. Last year, she booked one business-class flight and one premium economy ticket on Finnair by transferring 106,000 Amex points to British Airways Avios, which she then transferred to Finnair Plus.

Citi / AAdvantage Globe Mastercard
The AAdvantage Globe Mastercard is a fantastic option for American Airlines flyers looking for solid perks with the airline. Plus, its current offer matches the best bonus we’ve seen in the card’s history.

Why we love it: TPG senior aviation reporter Sean Cudahy has enjoyed maximizing the Globe card’s “Flight Streak” Loyalty Point boost toward AAdvantage elite status.
For every four eligible American Airlines flights, cardholders receive 5,000 Loyalty Points (up to three times per year for a total of 15,000 points). Any eligible AA flight is a segment operated or marketed by American, excluding basic economy and award flights.
This perk brought Sean over the top for AAdvantage Platinum Pro status. He’s enjoyed multiple elite status perks, including complimentary same-day confirmed changes on AA and Oneworld Emerald status.

The Hilton Aspire is the top-tier card for Hilton Honors loyalists, providing complimentary Diamond elite status and several useful perks.

Why we love it: TPG lead points and miles writer Katie Genter said she loves finding fun ways to use the Aspire card’s Hilton resort statement credit of up to $200 semiannually.
In 2026, Katie said her husband used his statement credit to pay for incidentals during a fifth-night free reward stay at the Hilton Niseko Village in Japan, and she used her statement credit to cover part of a two-night stay at the Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences in Australia.
