Nicolas Galitzine is opening up about the making of Masters of the Universe.

The 31-year-old He-Man actor spoke out about the movie in an interview with Men’s Health, out now.

During the conversation, he addressed filming scenes, using body doubles for stunts, and building He-Man’s physicality.

Find out what he had to say…

On filming the Snake Mountain 1 vs. 100 scene:

“This is the first time we see Adam allow a sense of rage and anger to overtake a sense of communication and perspective. There’s a sense of hubris in this scene, and he really uses a vengeful spirit to dispatch these people.”

On his use of a stunt double (Johnny James) for intense scenes:

Johnny was like, ‘Look, I’ll do the unglamorous stuff.’ I said, ‘Thank you, Johnny. That’s very kind of you.’”

On coaching his stunt double to do things a bit differently:

“I was saying to him, ‘Look, I think we need to adapt this character to move with the physicality that I have. Everything should feel brutal and violent and savage. And so we put together this sequence where there are still comedic beats within it, but it’s just this constant flow of motion.”

On shooting with Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays Goat Man in Masters:

“He was so tired as he was swinging this ax at me, I think sometimes he was skipping a beat or adding a move in there. I was genuinely trying not to get decapitated by the strongest man in the world.”

Director Travis Knight on casting “giant dudes”:

“I don’t think people have an appreciation for how big [Galitzine] got. Part of it is because I stacked the cast with giant dudes. It was nothing but giant dudes—big, muscle-bound guys who were like 6’5″. Everyone in the movie, all the dudes are huge. And so it’s a little bit like looking at a guy on an NBA team; You can’t tell that any of them are big, because they’re all big.”

On building He-Man’s physicality in the Snake Mountain scene:

“It’s the most fun I’ve had. It was truly one of the great joys I’ve ever had putting a scene on film, because I just felt a huge amount of agency in how I was able to build his physicality.”

In a new interview he also opened up about a major cameo in the new film, which is now playing in theaters.

Porsche is hitting the brakes on its electric bicycle subsidiary called Porsche eBike Performance GmbH. The German automaker launched its e-bike offshoot in August 2022 with plans to develop components like motors and batteries. After nearly four years of operation, Porsche decided to discontinue the subsidiary and will close the company’s factories in Ottobrunn, Germany and Zagreb, Croatia, putting around 350 employees out of work.

Porsche said in a press release that the e-bike division was created to make “high-performance e-bike drive systems and market them worldwide,” but added that market conditions have changed. Porsche eBike Performance created several e-bikes during its short run, including the Porsche eBike Sport for road rides and the Porsche eBike Cross for off-road adventures. The eBike Sport even made it to its fifth generation, despite the $10,920 starting price tag.

Porsche is shutting down more than just its e-bike program. The company’s CEO, Michael Leiters, said it was also shuttering Cellforce Group GmbH, its battery cell subsidiary, and Cetitic GmbH, a software company used by Porsche and The Volkswagen Group, as part of its decision to “refocus on our core business.” Porsche has been steadily electrifying its vehicle portfolio, but also recently decided to sell its minority stake in Bugatti Rimac, a joint venture created between Porsche and the Rimac Group. The automaker also sold its smaller stake in The Rimac Group, despite having invested tens of millions into the the luxury electric supercar maker.
