Kirsten Storms is breaking her silence following the claims ex-husband Brandon Barash made against her.

In April, Brandon, 46, obtained an emergency restraining order against Kirsten, 42, and claimed that she is going through a “mental health crisis.”

The former couple met on the set of General Hospital and got married in 2013, welcomed their daughter, Harper, into the world one year later, and then got a divorce in 2016. After Brandon got remarried in 2025, he moved to Nashville and Kirsten also made the move to the city to help their now 12-year-old daughter adjust to a new life. She took time off from General Hospital amid the move and also some health issues.

Brandon claimed that in May 2025, Kirsten reached out to him and said she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and “didn’t think she should have the child for her parenting time.” She was hospitalized and put on a psychiatric hold, but allegedly acted as if nothing had happened once she was released.

Following the allegations, Kirsten took to Instagram on Sunday night (June 7) to respond where she also addressed her absence from GH.

“Update (again), this topic is difficult to address….but here we go…I’m sure some of you guys have read the stories online regarding a situation involving something my ex-husband is currently trying to claim,” Kirsten began. “Because I did see one story online stating I reported the apartment break-in AFTER he filed something against me in court, I really need to address this entire issue. Not only because the records/evidence will show those stories are completely false (the break-in happened and was reported to the building and Franklin PD before he filed anything in court), but also because it puts my safety in a dangerous position for anyone to try and shift focus away from the fact that there was a person regularly entering my residence while I was out of town for medical appts in St Louis.”

She continued, “You can see from my previous posts that the damage to the lock on my apartment door was extensive and obvious. I took that photo in August of last year – months before Brandon filed anything in court. I was also speaking with the people who worked in the leasing office of the building (in person and via email), attempting to get answers on the damage to my door and wanting to know about locating building camera footage. This communication also started the first week of August.”

“I waited to post about the break-in on my Instagram for a few months. I had already moved out of the building and honestly, it’s been something that is difficult to accept happened pretty much as soon as I moved out here.” Kirsten explained. “Choosing to take time off from work (for my own personal reasons) was a ‘leap of faith’ kind of moment for myself. Seeking a ‘quality of life’ kinda thing?”

“Moving to Tennessee, as a single mom who lives alone 50% of the time, with a newly discovered brain aneurysm…well, I don’t think I need to explain how upsetting this entire situation has been for me. Realizing that not only was my apartment/space/privacy being violated, but this person also gained access to my WiFi and cellphone *while in my apartment*” Kirsten wrote. “I haven’t been online much because of how the circumstances have been twisted into something that it shouldn’t be. This has been a very serious thing for me to go through.”

Amid the ongoing situation, Kirsten announced that she is taking an extended hiatus from General Hospital.

“As for what is in my future, where GH is concerned…Given what’s been going on, I can’t say I will feel comfortable heading back to Los Angeles and returning to work,” Kirsten wrote. “This has been an eye opening experience about the downside of my profession.”

She concluded, “My daughter is my entire life, she is (and always will be) my first priority.”

In December 2025, Kirsten shared an update after being diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.

Porsche is hitting the brakes on its electric bicycle subsidiary called Porsche eBike Performance GmbH. The German automaker launched its e-bike offshoot in August 2022 with plans to develop components like motors and batteries. After nearly four years of operation, Porsche decided to discontinue the subsidiary and will close the company’s factories in Ottobrunn, Germany and Zagreb, Croatia, putting around 350 employees out of work.

Porsche said in a press release that the e-bike division was created to make “high-performance e-bike drive systems and market them worldwide,” but added that market conditions have changed. Porsche eBike Performance created several e-bikes during its short run, including the Porsche eBike Sport for road rides and the Porsche eBike Cross for off-road adventures. The eBike Sport even made it to its fifth generation, despite the $10,920 starting price tag.

Porsche is shutting down more than just its e-bike program. The company’s CEO, Michael Leiters, said it was also shuttering Cellforce Group GmbH, its battery cell subsidiary, and Cetitic GmbH, a software company used by Porsche and The Volkswagen Group, as part of its decision to “refocus on our core business.” Porsche has been steadily electrifying its vehicle portfolio, but also recently decided to sell its minority stake in Bugatti Rimac, a joint venture created between Porsche and the Rimac Group. The automaker also sold its smaller stake in The Rimac Group, despite having invested tens of millions into the the luxury electric supercar maker.
