The New York Times‘ game Wordle is one of the most popular on the Games App.
Wordle is a daily word puzzle where players have six chances to guess a five-letter word. After each guess, letters are color-coded to show correctness and position. It was created by software engineer Josh Wardle in 2021 and later acquired by the New York Times. Each puzzle is the same worldwide!
Many have wondered over the years…will Wordle ever run out of five-letter words? Well, the Wordle puzzle makers actually did confirm that, one day, they would run out of usable words.
When that happens, Wordle’s editor, Tracy Bennett, confirmed they have some options, including reusing words, adding plurals or some past tense words to the mix.
There is a list of every word that hasn’t been used yet, courtesy of Screen Rant.
