For the past few weeks, it has been reported that the engaged couple are planning on getting married at Madison Square Garden in New York City during Fourth of July weekend.
In a clip for his upcoming interview on ABC’s This Week, the 34-year-old Mayor of New York City played coy when asked about the Madison Square Garden wedding.
“You know, what I am here to say is that whoever is getting married in New York City, I think it’s hard to beat the City Clerk’s Office but many will try and soon there will be more news,” Mamdani told ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl.
“Is somebody getting married at Madison Square Garden on July 3rd?” Jonathan persisted. “Somebody famous?”
“Are you hearing that?” Mamdani asked back. “I think they’re calling me now.”
Insiders have been calling Taylor and Travis‘ upcoming nuptials “Wedding-palooza” as the couple will reportedly host several events next weekend, kicking off on July 2 with a small gathering, followed by a much larger event the day after at Madison Square Garden.
Additional details about the wedding were reported by The New York Times earlier this month, with the outlet reportedly uncovering permits regarding the closing down of streets near the Madison Square Garden arena “for an event on July 3,” although neither Taylor nor Travis have publicly confirmed anything.
It was also just recently reported that these two musicians will be performing at the wedding!
