Blue Origin has postponed the second flight of its New Glenn rocket, which was slated to send a pair of NASA spacecraft on the first step of their journey to Mars on Sunday afternoon. The heavy-lift launch vehicle was scheduled to take off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 2:45PM ET., but multiple holds were issued during the under-two-hour launch window due to inclement weather. Blue Origin called off the launch attempt around 4:13PM.

The next launch opportunity is as yet unclear. Blue Origin was previously given a backup opportunity set for Monday afternoon, but the FAA has since issued an emergency order restricting commercial launches for the time being due to the government shutdown. As of November 10, commercial space launches can only take place between 10:00PM and 6:00AM. Blue Origin said on Sunday that it’s reviewing opportunities based on the weather, and did not mention the FAA’s order.

New Glenn’s development has faced significant delays over the last decade since it was first announced, and finally took its maiden flight at the beginning of this year. Its first stage booster is intended to be reusable, and the company plans to recover the booster from the upcoming launch by landing it on an autonomous landing platform vessel dubbed Jacklyn, also known as the barge. Blue Origin attempted the same during its first flight, but failed.

The spacecraft on board New Glenn are twin satellites built by Rocket Lab and operated by UC Berkeley for NASA’s Escapade mission to study the effects of space weather. They’ll be following a new trajectory to the red planet, lingering in “a lazy, 12-month kidney bean-shaped orbit” around Earth until Mars is in alignment, according to UC Berkeley. Escapade should reach Mars in 2027.

David Henrie is answering a much-asked question about the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series!

The 36-year-old has reprised his role as Justin Russo as a series regular on Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, as well as an executive producer, with his past co-stars Selena Gomez, David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera also reprising their roles in the first two seasons.

In a recent interview, David revealed if Jake T Austin, who starred in the original series as the youngest sibling Max Russo, would ever make an appearance on Wizards Beyond.

Keep reading to find out more…

While appearing on Zach Sang Show, David was asked if he ever talks to Jake, or if he’s ever been worried about him.

“I mean, look, you know, the show ended and everyone kind of went their separate ways. You konw, a show is like a high school or college. Movies are that way too. You spend so much time together, you get to know people so well and then you go your separate ways,” David said. “You know, he lives in a different part of the United States. We’d all get together every so often. You know, I think maybe almost yearly or every other year. We’d get the whole cast back together and hang out.”

David then noted that he knew Jake cleared his Instagram, but he wants “the absolute freaking best for him.”

He then shared, “I want him back on the show. I’d love to get him back on the show! I’ve let him know we want it to happen, and I think next season if, you know, we continue, if that continues to work out well, hell yeah, we’d get him back on. That’s the hope. I’d love to get him back on next season.”

In season one, it was revealed that Jake‘s character Max took over the family business and turned it into a billion dollar business by franchising the Waverly Sub Station. It has also been shared that he lives on a yacht houseboat on the Long Island Sound.

It was previously thought that Jake would appear on the new show after he commented on a reunion photo of his co-stars in season one.

Also on Zach Sang Show, David revealed another actor from the original series they tried to bring back – Octavia Spencer, who played Dr. Evilini, whose son appeared in Wizards Beyond season one!

“We wanted to try to get her back. We tried to get her back for the first season. I think timing didn’t work out,” David shared.
