Nikki Glaser BLASTED After Delivering ‘Disturbing’ SNL Monologue Including Jokes About Sex Trafficking & More

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

Nikki Glaser is taking fire after delivering a monologue full of “disturbing” jokes on Saturday Night Live.

The stand-up comedian hosted this weekend’s episode of the sketch comedy show and kicked off her duties with a nearly 10-minute opening monologue… which has fans up in arms over its controversial jokes! While taking the Studio 8H stage, nothing was off the table for Nikki — including sex trafficking, slavery, rape, pedophilia, and more. At one point, she joked:

“I think I’m just paranoid, I’m just kind of obsessed with slavery recently because every time you go to a public women’s restroom and you sit in a stall, there’s always a poster on the back of the stall that’s asking you if you’re being trafficked … They’re in every stall. They’re in every world language. The English is really tiny and it’s like, ‘You wish.’”

She went on:

“Men’s restrooms do not have these signs. I don’t know what signs you have? You have signs that are like, ‘Want a slave? Text Traffick to 69-69.’”

Yeesh…

The Roast of Tom Brady standout went on to share that from what she’s observed, sex trafficking is predominantly a fear for Gen Z women:

“They’re terrified and I don’t relate. I’m 41. That was not a fear of mine ever in my 20s. In my 20s, I just feared good old-fashioned rape. I didn’t think it would be a career. We didn’t think it was anything more than a ‘temp job’ on a frat house futon.”

Yikes… The audience reacted with tempered chuckles, but Nikki pressed on:

“It’s real, though. I’m getting scared, it’s rubbing off on me. I was out with them recently and I was like, ‘What if we get trafficked?’ And they were like, ‘You’re good.’ They’re like, ‘We’re safer when you’re with us because they think you’re our madam.’”

Referencing Ghislaine Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison on sex trafficking charges, Nikki joked that her young friends told her she has “resting Ghislaine face.”

Elsewhere in her monologue, the Trainwreck actress reflected on how “hard” it is being an aunt to her 4-year-old nephew — and made the baffling decision to joke about child sexual abuse:

“I was staying at my sister’s house recently and at one point I was like, ‘I’m going to go take a shower,’ and my nephew comes running in and he’s like, ‘I want to take a shower with you’ … He’s 4 and it was very cute, and my sister was like, ‘He can take a shower with you, it’s fine. He does it with us.’ And I was like, ‘Okay that’s fine for you guys, but are you really okay with an adult showering with your child? Maybe it’s okay if you come and supervise.’”

The comedian continued:

“And she was like, ‘Why?’ and I was like, ‘Cause what if I molest him?’ And she was like, ‘Would you?’ and I was like, ‘No! I would never! That’s disgusting.’ But that’s what I would say if I was gonna. [Abusers] lie. Don’t trust anyone! I don’t even trust myself.”

That is… just… wow.

Again, the audience reacted with sparse laughter as Nikki charged full speed ahead with her controversial material. You can watch her full monologue (below):

On X (Twitter), users were quick to call out Nikki’s inflammatory monologue, which for many represents very real lived trauma:

“okay nikki glaser lost me cause why are we talking about molestation and pedophilia!??? #SaturdayDayNightLive #SNL”

“i’ve always really liked glaser and am a super dark humor person but idk joking about ur nephew was not on my bingo card”

“This is truly disturbing; Nikki Glaser telling a joke about molesting her four year old nephew during her bizarre SNL opening monolog last night. Who would find this funny?”

“One in four girls and one in 13 boys in the USA are estimated to experience child sexual abuse. #nojoke”

“nikki glaser making jokes about race, being a m*lester and getting r*ped in less than 10 mins on snl is insane btw”

“Nikki Glaser on SNL= worst host ever. Not one joke in that painful monologue hit”

“Nikki Glaser isn’t funny at all tonight”

“Nikki Glaser (of all people) absolutely bombed her #SNL monologue. It was CRINGE.”

“Not to be the friend who’s too woke but why was she joking about her molesting her nephew…”

“why the f**k would [SNL] allow this”

“Probably one of the worst monologues in recent memory. Literally nothing about pedophilia is fodder for comedy.”

“Nikki is always hilarious and edgy but this wasn’t the right audience. This would land better for a Netflix special maybe, but not SNL. The beginning bit was funny.”

Cybersecurity firm Cleafy just issued a report warning against a rising malware called Klopatra, which infects personal devices by posing as a free VPN app called Mobdro Pro IP + VPN. This is the latest corroboration of a series of warnings delivered by Kaspersky security researchers in 2024 about the increasing number of malware apps pretending to be free VPNs — a warning that’s more relevant than ever as VPN usage spikes in response to age-restriction laws.

Mobdro is the name of a popular IPTV app that’s been taken down by the Spanish government at least once, but the Mobdro Pro IP + VPN app appears to be unrelated, piggybacking on the name to use it as a malware vector. If you download the app, it guides you through what appears to be an installation wizard, but is actually the steps for handing over total control of your device. Once inside, Klopatra abuses accessibility services to pose as you, enter your banking apps, drain your accounts and assimilate your device into the botnet for further attacks.

Cleafy believes that Klopatra has already roped around 3,000 devices into its botnet, mainly in Italy and Spain. Its report concludes that the group behind Klopatra is probably based in Turkey, and is actively refining its approach, incorporating innovations and changing with the times. Hence the use of a combined cord-cutting and free VPN app as a mask — it’s perfect for exploiting rising frustrations with both streaming balkanization and government clampdowns on web freedom.

According to Kaspersky, other free VPNs used as malware vectors in the past year include MaskVPN, PaladinVPN, ShineVPN, ShieldVPN, DewVPN and ProxyGate. With Klopatra’s runaway success, Cleafy believes that imitators will spring up. App stores aren’t always quick to take down implicated apps, so be very careful to vet any free VPN app before you download it. If you’re not sure, you can always go with one of the free recommendations from our best VPN list (Proton VPN or hide.me).
