Hint for today’s Strands puzzle

Today’s Strands theme is: On the shopping block.

If that doesn’t help you, here’s a clue: Shop till you drop.

Clue words to unlock in-game hints

Your goal is to find hidden words that fit the puzzle’s theme. If you’re stuck, find any words you can. Every time you find three words of four letters or more, Strands will reveal one of the theme words. These are the words I used to get those hints but any words of four or more letters that you find will work:

  • DICE, STORE, TORE, VEIN, SCENT, CORE, RILE, LIRE, CORN, COUNT

Answers for today’s Strands puzzle

These are the answers that tie into the theme. The goal of the puzzle is to find them all, including the spangram, a theme word that reaches from one side of the puzzle to the other. When you have all of them (I originally thought there were always eight but learned that the number can vary), every letter on the board will be used. Here are the nonspangram answers:

  • CORNER, LIQUOR, GROCERY, DISCOUNT, CONVENIENCE

Tiger Woods‘ teammate is breaking his silence after the legendary golf player’s latest DUI arrest.

If you didn’t see the news, the 50-year-old golf pro was arrested on Friday afternoon (March 27) following a rollover car crash on Jupiter Island in Florida. He was charged with driving under the influence and property damage.

In an interview on Saturday (March 28), Kevin Kisner – who is Tiger‘s teammate on the indoor golf league Jupiter Links Golf Club of the TGL – reacted to the arrest.

Keep reading to find out more…Very disturbing,” Kevin said on NBC. “He was really working hard on his game, trying to practice and get back in shape. He signed up for the U.S. Senior Open yesterday. He was trying to do anything he could to come back and try and help our TGL team get ready, hopefully try and play the Masters.”

“Just a really unfortunate incident,” Kevin continued. “The only positive is that nobody was injured in the incident and we can all move forward and hopefully help him get better.”

During the same NBC show, PGA pro and current golf analyst Brad Faxon echoed Kevin‘s comments.

“He’s the biggest needle-mover in our sport,” Brad said. “You know, where we live in that area, that Jupiter area, whenever Tiger goes to play or practice, it gets around pretty quickly.”

He continued, “And the fact that he was getting ready to practice at his home club, and thinking maybe he’s going to play the Masters. Everybody was kind of hoping for that and we’re hoping for the best wishes for Tiger now as he goes forward.”
