Amanda & West Reveal When They First Slept Together, Ciara Gives ‘Harsh’ Reason Why She Thinks They’ll Work Out, & More Bombshells From Summer House Reunion!


The Summer House three-part reunion has finally begun! And there were some giant bombshells already dropped about Scamanda!

Perezcious readers know a massive scandal erupted in the friend group in March when Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their romance after weeks of speculation. The pair’s relationship is a huge violation of the friend code because West previously dated (and allegedly reconnected with) Amanda’s best friend Ciara Miller. Meanwhile, Amanda had recently separated from her estranged husband Kyle Cooke, who is pals with West.

There have been a lot of questions about the timeline, including whether Amanda’s marriage to Kyle was really over before she got with West. Who knew what? Did West have a girlfriend? What happened between him and Ciara after filming Season 10 last summer, where they got incredibly close and kissed again? Well, fans are starting to get answers in part one of the reunion! Get ready! A lot went down! Here are the biggest takeaways about Scamanda so far…

First Suspicion

Ciara revealed she became suspicious of Amanda and West on January 17! Whoa! Mind you, Kyle and Amanda hadn’t announced their breakup yet! That came only two days later! According to Ciara, she had asked Amanda to grab a drink with her and Mia Calabrese. However, the nurse got totally ignored by the swimwear designer! Ciara then checked Amanda’s phone location, which showed she was at West’s apartment. Naturally, alarm bells started to go off.

For her part, Amanda insisted she eventually answered Ciara — though 30 minutes after Mia put all of them in a group chat together to see if she would reply! Still, Ciara couldn’t help but feel sus about the situation:

“‘I said, ‘Hm, that’s weird, why would she be at West’s house?’”

Amanda argued she turned to West because he had been there for her all summer amid her drama with Kyle and “was checking in” on her following their split. But Ciara made it clear she had been there for Amanda, too! In fact, she invited her to hang out all the time, but wouldn’t get a response! Apparently, Amanda was too busy with West to have the decency of answering her supposed bestie! Ciara went off:

“Where was I? How many times have I asked you to hang out, have I asked to come over to your house, have I invited you to do stuff, and you act like your f**king phone doesn’t work?”

Kyle, Ciara, Carl Radke, and Lindsay Hubbard all noted that Amanda started hanging out with West and “all his friends” instead. And when the new Dancing With The Stars contestant called her out for it, Amanda told her to “F**k off.” Yikes! Where is the remorse, girl?! To which Ciara clapped back:

“Shut the f**k up, Amanda. You don’t want to cross this f**king bridge with me. You really don’t. I don’t see your man sticking up for you now, huh?”

For his part, Kyle noted he found it suspicious when Amanda had her location turned off for the first time in five years. To which she said:

“I didn’t want people to know where I was all the time.”

Uhhh, yeah! Because she knew what she was doing was wrong!

The Timeline & Lies Of The Romance

Ciara then pulled out text receipts of Amanda straight-up lying to her when she eventually confronted her about the romance rumors! On March 5, which is when the speculation started, Amanda reached out to Ciara that night to say:

“Hi checking in. The internet is f**king on one right now and I feel like everything I do is under a microscope and I can’t believe I’m even having to text you this right now but west and I are very much so just friends”

Ciara later asked:

“So I can expect for there to be no photo or videos coming out? Feels like such a widespread rumor for there to be no veracity to it.”

To which Amanda replied:

“Nothing different than what I’ve posted myself. People have just seen us with each other more and are being psychos”

And when Ciara asked for clarification that she and West hadn’t “hooked up, made out, held hands under table, or had sex,” Amanda responded, “Correct.” Ugh! The New Jersey native fully lied to her friend! OMG! She even admitted it on the reunion stage, saying:

“And I lied. 100 percent lied.”

However, Amanda swore they kept everything “PG” in the beginning. West explained he made the first move on Amanda:

“When we were out, I kinda looked at Amanda and was like, ‘Am I f**king crazy or is there a little something going on here?’”

According to him, they had their first kiss in February, hours after he went to brunch with Kyle, Jesse Solomon, and Ben Waddell! Amanda claimed they then slept together for the first time after releasing their joint statement, but “not that night.” Do people buy that? In the infamous leaked audio, Amanda even claimed they only came out about their relationship because she was afraid of a video of her in a “very vulnerable and intimate situation” getting leaked. Hmm.

The Girlfriend

Amid all this, West allegedly had a girlfriend! The other woman came up when Andy Cohen asked Jesse if he knew about the controversial romance between West and Amanda. He insisted he was kept in the dark like everyone else, and West added:

“The lying part, I will not sit here and act like I didn’t do it. I 100% lied to people here and I take full accountability for that.”

Ciara then chimed in to accuse West of lying about his whole life:

“You lie about who you are. I think you’re the most fraudulent person sitting on this couch. You live a different f**king life off camera than you do on camera.”

To make matters worse, Ciara noted everyone had been “confused” by West and Amanda dating because he had a girlfriend named Meija Moreno the entire time! Even when West appeared on What What Happens Live on March 24, where he lied and denied the dating rumors with Amanda! However, West claimed he and Meija were not official:

“Not a girlfriend, but I was seeing someone.”

That is not what Lindsay or anyone else heard, though! They reportedly had been in an “exclusive” relationship since the fall/winter of 2025. Yikes! Amanda revealed she knew West was dating Meija. And yet she still kissed him in February?! WTF! Mia, shocked by this, exclaimed:

“So, Amanda, why are you doing this? You went from being married to one of West’s side b**ches. That’s crazy.”

DAMN!

What Happened Between Ciara & West

Summer House viewers know Ciara and West started cozying up to each other throughout filming of Season 10 last summer! Toward the end, West expressed how he had a crush on Ciara again. They even kissed on camera! Now Ciara and her castmates cannot help but think West was being calculated for the show. She even asked:

“Was it all bulls**t? Did you use it for a storyline? Honestly, you and Amanda feel like the best type of revenge that you could execute.”

Can you blame her for thinking that way? All while saying he had so much chemistry with Ciara and had feelings for her, he also shared on camera how he resented her for all the backlash he faced after their 2023 breakup!

But West alleged he never intended to rekindle things with Ciara, despite his actions last summer. Saying that doesn’t help his case, though! It makes him look a million times worse for playing with her feelings! Ugh! Ciara then fired back:

“You’re so full of s**t. He told Ben that he had a crush on me and that when we were together, it was magic.”

West claimed he was trying to be “proactive” and protect their friendship:

“I recognize in that time I was not going to be what Ciara needed.”

The two got dinner after the summer ended, and he informed her he wasn’t going to “jump down that rabbit hole again.” However, it turns out he did anyway! Ciara revealed that they didn’t have sex, but they continued to send “flirty” messages and had a sleepover twice in the fall. West maintained he tried to keep them in the friend zone, though:

“I fell short in those moments. There were numerous times where I tried to make steps to not allow us to get to a romantic place or a physical place and keep it as friends.”

West didn’t do a very good job at that…

Ciara’s Brutal Dig!

At the end of part one, the cast really went after Amanda and West! Lindsay accused West of being a clout chaser who will only break Amanda’s heart once he is done using her:

“[The girls you date] don’t work for you, they don’t serve what you need to be served and you drop them. You’re gonna do the same f**king thing to Amanda when this is not working out. Because it’s not going to, and you’re not gonna be able to handle it, West, because you’re a f**king toddler.”

Yeesh!! Ciara, on the other hand? She thinks Amanda and West will work out — all because she believes her former friend is “weak”:

“The best woman for West is someone who’s not going to check him on anything, and that’s totally Amanda. She’s very mute, she’s gonna be that weak figure that he needs and he can always be the star in the relationship. So I actually think maybe it could work.”

Oh, ouch! We thought Ciara calling Amanda “a f**king snake” who is “f**king deadly” during the reunion was brutal! But this is on another level! As Amanda begins to cry, Kyle tells Ciara she was “harsh.” But she refuses to apologize:

“That’s your wife. She’s not my wife.”

That was a lot! And very intense! Wow!

What is Azure Traffic Manager?

Azure Traffic Manager distributes traffic to services across the Azure regions. It is a DNS-based traffic load balancer that provides responsiveness and high availability of the services. The Traffic Manager considers the health of all the endpoints and uses DNS to route client requests to a service endpoint based on a traffic-routing method.

A service endpoint might be an application hosted on Azure or an internet-facing application outside of Azure. To suit the needs of different applications, the Azure Traffic Manager offers several endpoint monitoring options and traffic routing methods. It balances the traffic load on services according to set policies. 

Features of Traffic Manager

Here are the features that the Traffic Manager offers.

  • The Traffic Manager continuously monitors endpoints. If, in any case, an endpoint goes down, then it provides automatic failover, which results in increased application availability.
  • The services hosted on Azure run in data centres located around the world. The traffic manager routes traffic to the endpoint with the lowest latency. This improves application responsiveness.
  • If you plan for service maintenance of your applications, then the traffic at the time of service maintenance will be routed to the next best locations, which are alternative endpoints. So, users can perform operations without downtime.
  • The Traffic Manager also supports non-Azure endpoints, which might be on-premise or on hybrid cloud scenarios. These scenarios include burst-to-cloud, migrate-to-cloud, and failover-to-cloud scenarios.
  • It provides various traffic routing methods. We can combine the routing methods to create a nested Traffic Manager profile for more complex deployments.
  • Based on user traffic volumes and patterns, it provides actionable insights. You can get a view of where the users are interacting with the application and the quality of their digital experience.
  • It adheres to the applications of data sovereignty regulations by using geographic fencing.

How does Traffic Manager work?

The key benefits of the Traffic Manager are,

  • The traffic distribution is based on one of the traffic-routing methods provided by Azure.
  • It continuously monitors the health of the endpoints and implements automatic failover.

A client connects to a service using a DNS name. The Traffic Manager will first resolve the DNS name of the service to the IP address. The client is then connected to the IP address of the service to access it. The Traffic Manager works at the DNS level, where it routes traffic to a specific endpoint based on a selected traffic routing method. It is neither a proxy nor a gateway. Clients will directly connect to the selected endpoint. The Traffic Manager will not see the data passing between the client and the service.

How does a client connect to the Traffic Manager?

When a client wants to connect to a service, a DNS query will be sent to the configured recursive DNS service. A recursive DNS service, which is also known as local DNS, does not host the domains directly. It rather encompasses the process of contacting authoritative DNS services to resolve the DNS name. The recursive DNS finds the name server across the internet for the domain in the DNS query sent by the client.

It then contacts the name server to request the DNS record. It then returns the record that points to the traffic manager of the server. The DNS then sends a request for the traffic manager. Upon receiving the request, the traffic manager chooses an endpoint. The chosen endpoint is sent back as a DNS name record. The recursive DNS service finds the domain name server. The IP address of the service endpoint will be returned. The recursive DSN consolidates and gives a single DNS response. The client then connects to the IP address.

Routing methods in Traffic Manager

To route traffic to different endpoints, Azure Traffic Manager supports six types of traffic-routing methods. The routing method specifies which endpoint is returned through DNS.

  • Priority – When you want to send primary service endpoints for all traffic, you can use the priority method. It provides backup if the primary endpoint is unavailable.
  • Weighted – When you want to distribute traffic across endpoints based on some pre-defined weights or evenly, use the weighted method.
  • Performance – When you want the users to interact with the lowest latency endpoint, then you can use the performance method. In this scenario, the endpoints are located in different geographic locations.
  • Geographic – When you want to route users to a specific endpoint based on the geographic location of the user, use the geographic methods. It employs data sovereignty based on different regions.
  • Multivalue – You can use multivalue when you only have IPv4/IPv6 addresses as endpoints. When a query is received, all the healthy endpoints are returned.
  • Subnet – If you want to map a set of user IP addresses to a specific endpoint, use the subnet method. When a request is received, the endpoint mapped to the source IP address will be returned.

Endpoints in Traffic Manager

An endpoint is referred to as application deployment. When the Traffic Manager receives a DNS request, it checks for all the endpoints and chooses an available one, and returns it as a DNS response. Traffic Manager supports the below 3 types of endpoints.

  • Azure endpoints – These are the services hosted in the Azure cloud.
  • External endpoints – These are the services hosted outside of the Azure cloud like on-premise or a different hosting cloud. These are used for IPv4/IPv6 addresses.
  • Nested endpoints – When you want to create more flexible routing schemes, you can use nested endpoints to combine Traffic Manager profiles for complex deployments. A single Traffic Manager profile can have any type of endpoints in it.

Creating a Traffic Manager for an application

Let us create a Traffic Manager profile that provides high availability for your application. Navigate to https://portal.azure.com/ and log in to your Azure account. You have to deploy your web application in two different Azure regions. So, one will act as a primary endpoint and the other acts as a failover endpoint.

Deploy the web application

Click on the ‘Create a resource’ button on the top-left corner. Click on ‘Web’ and click on ‘Web App’. You will get a Basics tab where you can fill in the web application details. Create a resource group and give a name for it. Give a name for your web application. Select ‘Code’ for the ‘Publish’ field. Give ‘ASP.NET V4.7’ for ‘Runtime stack’, select Windows for ‘Operating System’, select ‘East US’ for the ‘Region’ field. Create a new service plan and give a name for it. Select ‘Standard S1’ for the ‘SKU and size’ field.

Go to the Monitoring tab, select no for the ‘Enable application insight’s option. Click on ‘Review and create’. You will get a review page where you can view all the settings. Click on ‘Create’ to create a website. Follow the same steps to deploy the web application in a different Azure region.

Creating a Traffic Manager profile

Click on ‘Create a resource on the top-left corner. Click on ‘Networking’ and then click on the ‘Traffic Manager profile’. Click on ‘Create Traffic Manager profile’ and a settings page appear. Give a name for the Traffic Manager profile, Select ‘Priority’ for the ‘Routing method’ field, select a subscription method, select your existing resource group, and give the location of the resource group for the ‘Location’ field. Click on ‘Create’ to complete the process.

Add endpoints to Traffic Manager

Give the Traffic Manager profile name in the search bar and select your profile from the results. Click on ‘Settings’ in the Traffic Manager profile. Click on ‘Endpoints’ and then click on ‘Add’. Select ‘Azure endpoint’ for the ‘Type’ field. For the ‘Name’ field, enter the endpoint that you want to set as the primary one. Select ‘App Service’ for ‘Target resource type’, select ‘Choose an app service > East US’ for ‘Target resource’, choose 1 for ‘Priority’ field, and click on ‘OK’. Repeat the same steps for the other endpoint and set the priority as 2.

Testing the Traffic Manager profile

You can find the DNS name of your web application in the overview of your Traffic Manager profile. Enter the DNS name in a browser, and you will get the default website of your web application. Now, disable your primary site in the Traffic Manager profile. Select your primary endpoint in the overview section. Click on ‘Disabled’, and then click on ‘Save’. You can observe the status as disabled when you close the primary endpoint. Check the same DNS name in a different browser, you can see that your web application is still available. You are routed to the failover endpoint.

To reference an Azure Traffic Manager profile, you can also create an alias record name. You can create a Traffic Manager profile through the Azure portal, Azure CLI, and Azure PowerShell.
