Amanda & West Reveal When They First Slept Together, Ciara Gives ‘Harsh’ Reason Why She Thinks They’ll Work Out, & More Bombshells From Summer House Reunion!


The Summer House three-part reunion has finally begun! And there were some giant bombshells already dropped about Scamanda!

Perezcious readers know a massive scandal erupted in the friend group in March when Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their romance after weeks of speculation. The pair’s relationship is a huge violation of the friend code because West previously dated (and allegedly reconnected with) Amanda’s best friend Ciara Miller. Meanwhile, Amanda had recently separated from her estranged husband Kyle Cooke, who is pals with West.

There have been a lot of questions about the timeline, including whether Amanda’s marriage to Kyle was really over before she got with West. Who knew what? Did West have a girlfriend? What happened between him and Ciara after filming Season 10 last summer, where they got incredibly close and kissed again? Well, fans are starting to get answers in part one of the reunion! Get ready! A lot went down! Here are the biggest takeaways about Scamanda so far…

First Suspicion

Ciara revealed she became suspicious of Amanda and West on January 17! Whoa! Mind you, Kyle and Amanda hadn’t announced their breakup yet! That came only two days later! According to Ciara, she had asked Amanda to grab a drink with her and Mia Calabrese. However, the nurse got totally ignored by the swimwear designer! Ciara then checked Amanda’s phone location, which showed she was at West’s apartment. Naturally, alarm bells started to go off.

For her part, Amanda insisted she eventually answered Ciara — though 30 minutes after Mia put all of them in a group chat together to see if she would reply! Still, Ciara couldn’t help but feel sus about the situation:

“‘I said, ‘Hm, that’s weird, why would she be at West’s house?’”

Amanda argued she turned to West because he had been there for her all summer amid her drama with Kyle and “was checking in” on her following their split. But Ciara made it clear she had been there for Amanda, too! In fact, she invited her to hang out all the time, but wouldn’t get a response! Apparently, Amanda was too busy with West to have the decency of answering her supposed bestie! Ciara went off:

“Where was I? How many times have I asked you to hang out, have I asked to come over to your house, have I invited you to do stuff, and you act like your f**king phone doesn’t work?”

Kyle, Ciara, Carl Radke, and Lindsay Hubbard all noted that Amanda started hanging out with West and “all his friends” instead. And when the new Dancing With The Stars contestant called her out for it, Amanda told her to “F**k off.” Yikes! Where is the remorse, girl?! To which Ciara clapped back:

“Shut the f**k up, Amanda. You don’t want to cross this f**king bridge with me. You really don’t. I don’t see your man sticking up for you now, huh?”

For his part, Kyle noted he found it suspicious when Amanda had her location turned off for the first time in five years. To which she said:

“I didn’t want people to know where I was all the time.”

Uhhh, yeah! Because she knew what she was doing was wrong!

The Timeline & Lies Of The Romance

Ciara then pulled out text receipts of Amanda straight-up lying to her when she eventually confronted her about the romance rumors! On March 5, which is when the speculation started, Amanda reached out to Ciara that night to say:

“Hi checking in. The internet is f**king on one right now and I feel like everything I do is under a microscope and I can’t believe I’m even having to text you this right now but west and I are very much so just friends”

Ciara later asked:

“So I can expect for there to be no photo or videos coming out? Feels like such a widespread rumor for there to be no veracity to it.”

To which Amanda replied:

“Nothing different than what I’ve posted myself. People have just seen us with each other more and are being psychos”

And when Ciara asked for clarification that she and West hadn’t “hooked up, made out, held hands under table, or had sex,” Amanda responded, “Correct.” Ugh! The New Jersey native fully lied to her friend! OMG! She even admitted it on the reunion stage, saying:

“And I lied. 100 percent lied.”

However, Amanda swore they kept everything “PG” in the beginning. West explained he made the first move on Amanda:

“When we were out, I kinda looked at Amanda and was like, ‘Am I f**king crazy or is there a little something going on here?’”

According to him, they had their first kiss in February, hours after he went to brunch with Kyle, Jesse Solomon, and Ben Waddell! Amanda claimed they then slept together for the first time after releasing their joint statement, but “not that night.” Do people buy that? In the infamous leaked audio, Amanda even claimed they only came out about their relationship because she was afraid of a video of her in a “very vulnerable and intimate situation” getting leaked. Hmm.

The Girlfriend

Amid all this, West allegedly had a girlfriend! The other woman came up when Andy Cohen asked Jesse if he knew about the controversial romance between West and Amanda. He insisted he was kept in the dark like everyone else, and West added:

“The lying part, I will not sit here and act like I didn’t do it. I 100% lied to people here and I take full accountability for that.”

Ciara then chimed in to accuse West of lying about his whole life:

“You lie about who you are. I think you’re the most fraudulent person sitting on this couch. You live a different f**king life off camera than you do on camera.”

To make matters worse, Ciara noted everyone had been “confused” by West and Amanda dating because he had a girlfriend named Meija Moreno the entire time! Even when West appeared on What What Happens Live on March 24, where he lied and denied the dating rumors with Amanda! However, West claimed he and Meija were not official:

“Not a girlfriend, but I was seeing someone.”

That is not what Lindsay or anyone else heard, though! They reportedly had been in an “exclusive” relationship since the fall/winter of 2025. Yikes! Amanda revealed she knew West was dating Meija. And yet she still kissed him in February?! WTF! Mia, shocked by this, exclaimed:

“So, Amanda, why are you doing this? You went from being married to one of West’s side b**ches. That’s crazy.”

DAMN!

What Happened Between Ciara & West

Summer House viewers know Ciara and West started cozying up to each other throughout filming of Season 10 last summer! Toward the end, West expressed how he had a crush on Ciara again. They even kissed on camera! Now Ciara and her castmates cannot help but think West was being calculated for the show. She even asked:

“Was it all bulls**t? Did you use it for a storyline? Honestly, you and Amanda feel like the best type of revenge that you could execute.”

Can you blame her for thinking that way? All while saying he had so much chemistry with Ciara and had feelings for her, he also shared on camera how he resented her for all the backlash he faced after their 2023 breakup!

But West alleged he never intended to rekindle things with Ciara, despite his actions last summer. Saying that doesn’t help his case, though! It makes him look a million times worse for playing with her feelings! Ugh! Ciara then fired back:

“You’re so full of s**t. He told Ben that he had a crush on me and that when we were together, it was magic.”

West claimed he was trying to be “proactive” and protect their friendship:

“I recognize in that time I was not going to be what Ciara needed.”

The two got dinner after the summer ended, and he informed her he wasn’t going to “jump down that rabbit hole again.” However, it turns out he did anyway! Ciara revealed that they didn’t have sex, but they continued to send “flirty” messages and had a sleepover twice in the fall. West maintained he tried to keep them in the friend zone, though:

“I fell short in those moments. There were numerous times where I tried to make steps to not allow us to get to a romantic place or a physical place and keep it as friends.”

West didn’t do a very good job at that…

Ciara’s Brutal Dig!

At the end of part one, the cast really went after Amanda and West! Lindsay accused West of being a clout chaser who will only break Amanda’s heart once he is done using her:

“[The girls you date] don’t work for you, they don’t serve what you need to be served and you drop them. You’re gonna do the same f**king thing to Amanda when this is not working out. Because it’s not going to, and you’re not gonna be able to handle it, West, because you’re a f**king toddler.”

Yeesh!! Ciara, on the other hand? She thinks Amanda and West will work out — all because she believes her former friend is “weak”:

“The best woman for West is someone who’s not going to check him on anything, and that’s totally Amanda. She’s very mute, she’s gonna be that weak figure that he needs and he can always be the star in the relationship. So I actually think maybe it could work.”

Oh, ouch! We thought Ciara calling Amanda “a f**king snake” who is “f**king deadly” during the reunion was brutal! But this is on another level! As Amanda begins to cry, Kyle tells Ciara she was “harsh.” But she refuses to apologize:

“That’s your wife. She’s not my wife.”

That was a lot! And very intense! Wow!

Amex Membership Rewards: How to earn, redeem and transfer


With an American Express card that earns Amex Membership Rewards points, cardholders can redeem points through American Express Travel for hotels (including vacation rentals), car rentals, cruises and flights, or opt to use their points for statement credits, gift cards and more.

Whether you’re a points expert or not, you can also maximize your Amex Membership Rewards points by transferring them to Amex’s airline and hotel partners. With many options for redeeming and maximizing your hard-earned points, your Amex rewards are extremely valuable.

What are Amex Membership Rewards points?

Membership Rewards points are the rewards currency of American Express. If you have an Amex card that earns Membership Rewards points, you will earn them for everyday spending, just as you would earn airline miles with an airline-branded card or hotel points with a hotel-branded card. Plus, depending on your Amex card, you can also earn bonus points in certain spending categories.

In the world of points and miles, American Express Membership Rewards points are considered some of the most valuable and useful points you can earn because of their flexibility. Per TPG’s April 2026 valuations, Amex points are worth 2 cents apiece.

How do I earn Amex Membership Rewards points?

The easiest way to earn many Membership Rewards points is to apply for a Membership Rewards-earning American Express card.

Here’s a look at the welcome offer, bonus-category structure, annual fee and benefits for each of the six most valuable Membership Rewards cards to help you choose the best Amex card.

Other ways to earn Membership Rewards points

Once you have one (or more) of the above cards, there are additional options for earning Amex points. The first is leveraging Rakuten, one of TPG’s favorite online shopping portals. Through Rakuten, you can opt to earn cash back or Membership Rewards points.

If you don’t have an account, you can sign up and enjoy a standard one-time bonus of $30 when you spend at least $30 within 90 days of becoming a member.

You can also earn Amex Membership Rewards points through referral bonuses. You’ll receive a set number of points when someone uses your referral link and is approved. Keep in mind that rewards earned through referral bonuses are taxable.

Amex Membership Rewards transfer partners

Since you can transfer Membership Rewards points to 17 airline and three hotel transfer partners, you can search for award travel on almost every major route and city worldwide.

Thus, earning Membership Rewards points is usually more lucrative than earning miles or points in a single airline or hotel loyalty program. Remember, you are not locked into one transfer partner — you can send some points to one program and then some to another.

Below, we’ve listed all those partners, the transfer ratios and the transfer times discovered in our testing.

If you haven’t done so, link your transfer partner accounts to your Membership Rewards account now. This will prevent future delays when you need to make a quick transfer.

The best ways to redeem Amex Membership Rewards points

To get the most value from your points, you will want to transfer them to partners.

Here are just a few of our favorite redemptions:

  • Fly to Hawaii on points and miles: Transfer your Membership Rewards points to Delta SkyMiles, and you’ll pay as little as 18,200 SkyMiles for a one-way flight from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).
  • Save on business-class award flights: Singapore Airlines operates two of the world’s longest flights, one from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and another from SIN to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). You won’t want to spend 18 hours in an uncomfortable seat, so transfer your Membership Rewards points to the Singapore KrisFlyer program to book business-class flights. Both routes cost 117,000 KrisFlyer miles plus taxes and fees one-way, a small price for comfort on such a long flight.
  • Transfer your Amex Membership Rewards points to Iberia Club: On off-peak dates, you can fly from JFK and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Spain’s Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) for just 16,000 Iberia Club Avios in economy, 29,500 Avios in premium economy and 40,500 Avios in business class each way.
  • Transfer your Amex Membership Rewards points to Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue program: Book business-class flights from North America to Europe starting at just 60,000 Flying Blue miles each way.
  • Book domestic JetBlue award flights: Transferring your Membership Rewards points to Etihad Guest can be a good option. JetBlue flights 500 miles or shorter within North America cost just 6,000 Etihad Guest miles (transfers from Amex to Etihad end on June 30).

Just remember that transfers are irreversible, so you should transfer your Amex points only after you’ve confirmed the award space for the flight or hotel you want.

Additionally, you can also use your points to book virtually any travel through the Amex Travel platform. You usually receive 1 cent per Amex point. This is an OK value, but not a spectacular way to redeem your points. It’s still better than the redemptions we’re about to get into, however.

Poor-value ways to redeem Membership Rewards points

Unfortunately, several options for redeeming your points represent less-than-stellar value and should typically be avoided if you want to maximize your hard-earned Amex Membership Rewards.

Some of these options include:

  • Using points for charges: This is like a cash-back option covering eligible charges on your billing statement. You can view the list of eligible charges on your current online statement. With this option, you’ll only receive 0.6 cents per point.
  • Using Pay with Points at checkout: After linking your Membership Rewards account with online merchants like Amazon, Best Buy and Grubhub, you can pay for your purchases at a slightly better (but still poor) value of 0.7 cents per point. Although this option can sometimes be useful for promotions, you may want to turn this off to prevent accidental use of your points.
  • Redeeming for taxi rides in New York City: You can redeem points for certain New York City taxi fares at a value of 1 cent per point.
  • Redeeming for gift cards: Depending on the merchant, these redemptions offer a value between 0.5 cents and 1 cent per point.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions we’ve seen about Amex Membership Rewards.

How do I transfer Amex Membership Rewards points to airlines?

To transfer Membership Rewards points, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Amex account.
  2. Go to the rewards section.
  3. Go to the transfer section under rewards.
  4. Ensure the loyalty program you want to transfer your points to is linked.
  5. Select the partner you want to transfer to and initiate the transfer.

It’s important to note that once you make a transfer, you cannot reverse it.

Are there fees or taxes when I use Amex Membership Rewards points?

While there are no fees to use Amex Membership Rewards points, there is an excise tax offset fee of $0.0006 per point, with a maximum of $99. This fee only applies when transferring points to one of Amex’s U.S.-based airline partners, like Delta SkyMiles and JetBlue TrueBlue.

Can you pool or share Amex points?

If you have multiple Membership Rewards points-earning cards, the points will all be pooled in your Amex account. However, Amex doesn’t allow you to transfer points between accounts, even if it’s between family members. Amex also doesn’t allow you to transfer your points to a partner program in someone else’s name, except for an authorized user on your Membership Rewards account who has been on the account for at least 90 days.

Do Membership Rewards points expire?

Membership Rewards points do not expire, provided you keep at least one card open that earns them. If you cancel all of your Amex Membership Rewards cards, you must redeem or transfer your points before closing the last card. Otherwise, you will forfeit the points.
