Rumors are swirling that TiKTok star Charli D’Amelio is in a feud with her family and now her dad, Marc D’Amelio, is speaking out.
After Charli became the biggest star on TikTok, her family got a reality show on Hulu that lasted for three seasons between 2021 and 2023. The D’Amelio Show was canceled in June 2024.
Gossip website DeuxMoi reported that sources are alleging that Charli “discovered millions of dollars had been transferred out of accounts that were established during the years her career was managed by her parents. Insiders claim the transfers allegedly occurred over an extended period and involved funds that were intended for Charli’s savings.”
Charli reportedly became aware of the situation and got lawyers involved. DeuxMoi’s sources claim that her sister Dixie D’Amelio is siding with their parents, Marc and Heidi.
Marc D’Amelio is denying the story
Marc says that the story is not true, but he did say that Charli is being “manipulated.” He responded in a comment posted to the DeuxMoi story on Instagram.
No one called me for an interview. This is not true. We love Charli but she is being manipulated and I have the receipts. Over the last six years we have remained silent and never addressed gossip but the time has come to set the record straight.
A fan replied to him, “so you guys didn’t steal from her?” Marc responded to that comment too.
Absolutely not. She’s always had a team in place lawyers, business manager, manager agent. We purposely set it up that way. Not sure if you know anything about our family, but we were doing fine before TikTok.
In a TikTok Live, Marc confirmed that he’s not on speaking terms with Charli right now.
She hasn’t reached out to me in some time. She’s mad at me for something… I gave my daughters everything I thought they wanted and needed. And now you’ve got a bunch of team [members] around them that think they know what’s best for Charli and I have all the receipts. The problem is, what am I going to do? If I sue someone, what’s that going to do? Drag my family into a lawsuit?
Marc added in the TikTok, “Going through this process was never about money, it was always about having this crazy awesome experience with my family. As far as stealing money, if anything, I’m owed money.”
Heidi’s hairstylist is speaking out too
TerraRose Puncerelli, who is Heidi‘s frequent hairstylist, left a comment on the post.
“I would strongly encourage everyone to not believe everything you read on the Internet,” she wrote.
Charli is not currently following her parents on Instagram, but she still follows Dixie. Her sister still follows their parents.
