Hudson Williams gave his longtime girlfriend Katelyn Larson a special shoutout while on stage at the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards on Sunday evening (May 31) at CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The 25-year-old Heated Rivalry star made history at the ceremony when he won the award for Best Lead Performer, Drama Series for his work as Shane Hollander in the Crave series’ first season.

Hudson not only picked up his first major award of his career, but he’s also the youngest actor to receive Best Lead Performer, Drama Series!

While on stage accepting the award, he didn’t prepare any speech, but brought a list of people to thank that helped him get to this achievement, including his partner.

After thanking the Heated Rivalry crew, Crave and his parents, the actor shared a special thank you to Katelyn.

“My partner Katelyn, wherever you are…there you are, love you, thank you so much for always keeping me stable because sometimes I’m- I’m not,” he said.

As the camera panned to Katelyn in the audience, lovingly watching his speech, and she could be seen holding up the finger hearts, which were popularized in Korea in the 1990s. Watch the full video above!

Hudson then thanked his on-screen partner Connor Storrie, who was unable to attend the show.

“If I could cut this award down the middle I would because if these gay, yearning, little bottom eyes didn’t have a big sexy Russian to feast upon, my performance wouldn’t be as good. To the honorary Canadian Connor Storrie, I share this award with you,” the actor said.

In addition to Hudson‘s own win that night, Heated Rivalry also won Best Drama Series the fan-voted Cogeco Fund Audience Choice award, as well as several other wins the night before.

Hudson also took to the stage to present co-star Sophie Nelisse with the Radius Award.

Earlier in the night, Hudson and Katelyn hit the red carpet and posed for photos alongside his mom and dad.

Barbra Streisand is set to be honored at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, but she will no longer be attending the ceremony.

The 84-year-old icon will sadly not be there to accept her honorary Palme d’Or at the closing ceremony of the film festival due to a knee injury.

“On the advice of my doctors, as I continue recovering from a knee injury, I am sadly unable to attend the Festival de Cannes this year,” she shared in a statement, via Variety.

“But I am deeply honored to receive the honorary Palme d’Or and had so been looking forward to celebrating the remarkable films of the 79th edition.”

“I was also very much looking forward to spending time with colleagues whom I so admire — and, of course, returning to France, a place I have always loved. While I regret that I can’t be there in person, I want to extend my warmest congratulations to all of the filmmakers from around the world whose extraordinary talent and creative vision are being celebrated this year,” the statement continues.

“My heartfelt thanks to the Festival, and to everyone who continues to support and champion the art of cinema.”

The tribute will still happen on May 23.

Iris Knobloch, Thierry Frémaux and the entire festival team send Barbra Streisand their warmest wishes for a prompt recovery,” the festival said in a press release.

Barbra will be the third person to get an honorary Palme d’Or in 2026, including Peter Jackson and John Travolta.

If you missed it, Jane Fonda recently questioned why Barbra got to do Robert Redford‘s In Memoriam tribute at the 2026 Oscars, when she worked with him more often.
