Corey Feldman is on the mend after a frightening medical emergency led to a hospital visit earlier this week.
The 54-year-old actor has been released from the hospital after experiencing a health scare while arriving in Los Angeles on a flight from Chicago, according to TMZ.
Initial concerns reportedly centered on potentially serious conditions, including pancreatitis or gallstones, prompting medical personnel to quickly evaluate the former child star after the plane landed at LAX. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that Corey was transported to a local hospital for treatment and further testing.
Fortunately, doctors ultimately determined that the episode was caused by severe food poisoning.
According to the outlet, Corey underwent a series of medical tests before physicians ruled out more serious health issues and identified the source of his symptoms.
The positive update comes after concern spread among fans following news of the incident. TMZ reports that Corey is now recovering and is grateful for the support he received in the aftermath of the scare.
His publicist told Entertainment Weekly that the Stand By Me star is “doing much better and is now out of the hospital.”
“Having food poisoning on a plane was a nightmare, but Corey is very grateful for all of the love and well wishes!” the publicist said in a statement.
Corey isn’t the first celeb to battle food poisoning this year. Rosalia had to abruptly end a concert in Milan due to food poisoning and Brooks Nader dealt with it during her 29th birthday celebration back in February!
