Jack Osbourne is defending his decision to attend the UFC Freedom 250 event.

In honor of Donald Trump‘s 80th birthday last weekend, UFC hosted an event on the South Lawn of the White House.

Jack, 40, and wife Aree Gearhart were among the stars that attended the event.

In a new video to posted to YouTube, Jack fired back at backlash he’s received for attending Trump‘s event.

“I went to a sporting event. That’s it,” he clarified. “I didn’t go and throw my hat in the ring for political office. I wasn’t there going to endorse a politician or some kind of, you know, foreign affairs issue. Nothing. I literally went to the White House to go see UFC.”

Jack went on to explain that he’s been interested in combat sports his entire life, including doing taekwondo at 6 years old, studying Muay Thai in Thailand in his late teens and early 20s and doing jiu-jitsu in his 30s.

“I have also attended UFC and PRIDE fights going back to the early 2000s,” he noted. “It is something that has been a part of my life since I can remember.”

Jack said when he was invited to the event by Dana White, the President and CEO of UFC, “of course I would go. Any person out there who would get an invite would have gone. I’m sorry, there’s no one I could think of that would have been like, ‘No, I’m not going to that ‘cause I don’t approve of Orange Man’ or whatever the f–k.”

He called the backlash “ridiculous,” stressing it was “not a political event — or in my eyes it was not. It was a f–king fight at the White House. Who gives a s–t?”

Jack then took aim at critics saying his late dad Ozzy Osbourne would be disappointed in him for attending the event.

“You did not know my father. You did not know where he stood with things,” Jack said. “Yes, he wrote a song called ‘War Pigs,’ sure. Anti-war song. He wasn’t anti-UFC. He wasn’t anti-going to an event at the White House. He was anti-war.”

Jack also pointed out that Ozzy attended a White House Correspondents Dinner during the Bush administration and shared a video of the late Black Sabbath excitedly jumping up and down when he got a shoutout from former President George W. Bush.

He also noted that his dad did USO tours and went to visit wounded service members at Walter Reed Medical Center.

“So, shut the f–k up, basically,” Jack concluded. “To bring my father into this to say he would or wouldn’t’ve approve is completely insane. I simply attended a sporting event for a sport that I have a great amount of respect for and something that’s been a part of my life since I can remember.”

He added, “So, deal with it, and I’m sorry you weren’t invited.”

Another star also recently explained why they attended the UFC Freedom 250 amid criticism.

Donald Trump is clearly not happy about music stars dropping out of the upcoming Freedom 250 concert.

The Trump administration-backed event to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence announced its lineup this week and in the days since, 5 artists have dropped out.

Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Morris Day, Young MC, and The Commodores have all pulled out of the show, with some saying they were misled about the purpose of the event. Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli’s Fab Morvan have announced they will still perform.

Amid the dropouts, Trump says that he will give a speech instead and that the has the power to draw “much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime.” He just released a statement on Truth Social.

I understand Artists are getting “the yips” having to do with their performance on Wednesday, so I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate “Artists,” and give a major speech, rallying the Country forward like I have done ever since being President! Two years ago, the United States was DEAD. Now we have the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World. I don’t want so-called “Artists” that get paid far too much money, who aren’t happy. I only want to be surrounded by Happy People, Smart People, Successful People, and People that know how to WIN. So, by copy of this TRUTH, I am ordering my Representatives to look at the feasibility of doing an AMERICA IS BACK Rally on Wednesday, Washington, D.C., same time, same location. Only Great Patriots invited — It will be a Wild and Beautiful Celebration of America! President DONALD J. TRUMP

It’s unclear what Trump means about “Wednesday” as the Freedom 250 concert series was scheduled to run from June 25 to July 10.
