Rosanna Pansino ended her recent birthday in the hospital.
The YouTuber, who turned 41 on Monday, June 8, shared a shocking update over the weekend revealing that she broke her jaw “into 4 pieces” while spending her special day with friends on a boat.
“After a beautiful day spent with friends out in the ocean, I unfortunately took a very bad fall as the boat was docking and broke my jaw into 4 pieces, including a complete fracture down the middle of my chin,” she shared in her Instagram post. “I spent the night in the ER where I received several stitches for 3 different facial wounds. I also shattered my front teeth and will need extensive dental work to fix the damage.”
Alongside her caption, Rosanna shared photos from her hospital stay, including snapshots of her propped up in a hospital bed while wearing a face wrap and medical gauze, along with some follow-up images showing her gradual recovery post-surgery, where she had “a metal plate” put on her chin to stabilize her teeth.
The Baketopia host revealed she also had to get four metal screws “drilled” into her gums for the bands to assist in holding her jaw in place.
“The good news is the doctor just updated me at the latest checkup that I can talk sooner than expected since the surgery and healing are going very well,” she continued, “Between the surgery and dental work needed I have at least 8 weeks of recovery ahead of me.”
Rosanna expressed her gratitude to the staff who have helped her and to everyone who has sent her flowers and words of encouragement.
She added, “While this year has been a very challenging one for me, I am excited to get back on my feet soon. The plan is to continue all my content on the man channel and podcast! I will keep you all updated on my progress!”
And in conclusion, Rosanna joked that next she’d be celebrating her birthday “at a spa.”
Earlier this year, Rosanna called out MrBeast once again, claiming he’ll never sue because she knows “too much.”
