Christmas Above the Clouds is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of Hallmark Channel‘s Countdown to Christmas for 2025 and there’s a good reason!

Tyler Hynes and Erin Krakow star in the new holiday movie, reuniting them after starring in the beloved 2021 movie It Was Always You, which many fans consider to be one of Hallmark’s best movies of all time.

Christmas Above the Clouds marks Tyler and Erin‘s long-awaited reunion on screen.

Tyler says signing on for the project was all about working with Erin again.

“I wanted to do this movie because I wanted to see Erin play this part. I wanted to see her, in person, do her thing. I wanted to be a witness to it,” Tyler told EntertainmentNow.

He added, “It’s really her journey. It’s about her character. My character is in service to her. And there came a point where I was sort of picking which movie I was going to do, and I just selfishly went, ‘I just want to see Erin do this movie in person!’ I always try to, with every movie that I do, make sure that the reason why I’m doing it is very clear to me, and that it’s the right motivation. And with this, I selfishly just wanted to watch Erin do her thing in person.”

Here’s the film’s synopsis: “When workaholic CEO Ella Neezer (Krakow) tries to skip Christmas by flying to Australia, she’s in for the flight of her life. Haunted by her past, present and future, she’s forced to confront the choices that led to her success yet left her flying solo. With the help of three quirky spirits and a surprise reunion with her ex (Hynes), she might just rediscover the magic of Christmas – and the love she thought she’d lost.”

Christmas Above the Clouds will air on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 8 at 8pm and will stream the next day on Hallmark+.
