Donald Trump has turned on some of his loudest supporters in the press as they speak out against his war in Iran.
On Thursday (April 9), the 79-year-old president took to social media to level a furious attack against four longtime conservative commentators, many of whom have been loud and proud allies over the years.
Now, he’s branded them “nut jobs,” “troublemakers” and “losers, just trying to latch on to MAGA” as they call him out for what they’ve described as “vile” and unpresidential behavior, with some even implying that he should be removed from office.

The four media personalities that Trump called out by name were Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens and Alex Jones.
On Truth Social, he alleged that they “have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Terror, to have a Nuclear Weapon — Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs.”
“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too! Look at their past, look at their record. They don’t have what it takes, and they never did! They’ve all been thrown off Television, lost their Shows, and aren’t even invited on TV because nobody cares about them, they’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some ‘free’ and cheap publicity,” Trump raged.
He described the quartet as being desperate for “clicks” on their “third rate podcasts,” alleging that “nobody’s talking about them.” The Republican even went as far as to imply “their views are the opposite of MAGA — Or I wouldn’t have won the Presidential Election in a LANDSLIDE.”
Trump proceeded to direct personal insults at each of his former allies, saying that Carlson “couldn’t even finish college” and that he “was a broken man when he got fired from Fox in 2023.
“Perhaps he should see a good psychiatrist!” the president wrote.
He described Kelly as “nasty,” referencing a question that she asked him while moderating a debate about disparaging comments he’s made about women’s appearance.
Turning to Owens, he described her as “crazy” and referenced the fact that she was sued for defamation after alleging that the first lady of France was a man. The suit was filed in 2025. The president affirmed that Brigitte Macron is a woman, despite the fact that he has also made disparaging remarks about her.
“Actually, to me, the First Lady of France is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, in fact, it’s not even close!” he wrote now.
Jones was slammed as someone “who says some of the dumbest things,” with him specifically citing his horrific conspiracy theory about the Sandy Hook shooting.
“These so-called ‘pundits’ are LOSERS, and they always will be! Now Fake News CNN, The Failing New York Times, and all of the other Radical Left ‘News’ Organizations, are ‘hailing’ them, and giving them ‘positive’ press for the first time in their lives,” Trump alleged.
He continued, adding, “They’re not ‘MAGA,’ they’re losers, just trying to latch on to MAGA.”
“As President, I could get them on my side anytime I want to, but when they call, I don’t return their calls because I’m too busy on World and Country Affairs and, after a few times, they go ‘nasty,’ just like Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown, but I no longer care about that stuff, I only care about doing right for our Country,” Trump raged.
He concluded, writing, “MAGA is about WINNING and STRENGTH in not allowing Iran to have Nuclear Weapons. MAGA is about MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and these people have no idea how to do that, BUT I DO, because THE UNITED STATES IS NOW THE ‘HOTTEST’ COUNTRY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!”
In recent weeks, Kelly has alleged that Trump and his administration might have been lying about the amount of U.S. servicemembers who have died in Iran, amongst other complaints about the war.
Carlson described Trump‘s profanity laden Easter Day message, in which he referred to Iranian leaders as “crazy b—–ds” and threatened to send the country to hell as “vile.”
On X, Owens called for the 25th amendment to be utilized to remove Trump from office, citing a statement he made threatening to end “a whole civilization” if Iran didn’t agree to the terms of his peace talks. Jones made similar remarks, according to NBC News.
