Thousands of students stepped onto their future campus, gaining clarity, confidence and direction before beginning their academic journey.

Jalandhar (24th June): The second edition of Experience LPU 2026, a first-of-its-kind immersive campus engagement initiative by Lovely Professional University (LPU), welcomed thousands of newly admitted students and aspiring applicants from across the country, offering them a unique opportunity to experience university life firsthand. As students and parents arrived on campus to explore their future academic home, they were welcomed into a dynamic environment where innovation, learning, entrepreneurship, culture and career aspirations converged through a carefully curated series of experiences designed to inspire confidence and informed decision-making.

Unlike conventional admissions interactions, Experience LPU enabled students and parents to engage directly with the university’s leadership, faculty members, successful alumni, senior students, and industry experts. The three-day event featured a lively mix of learning, exploration and entertainment through specially curated activities including campus tours, discipline-specific school visits, project exhibitions, engagement zones, celebrity guest sessions, fireside chats, cultural performances, fashion showcases, pottery workshops, art displays, student innovation exhibits and talent presentations. Students enthusiastically participated in dance, music and other creative performances, experiencing the dynamic and inclusive campus culture that defines LPU.

In a series of insightful sessions with distinguished personalities from diverse fields. Students and parents had the opportunity to interact with Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, one of India’s most influential business leaders, who shared valuable perspectives on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and the mindset required to thrive in an ever-evolving world. In an inspiring display of enthusiasm from newly admitted students themselves. Among them was Mayank, a recently admitted student who enthusiastically displayed his robotics project at the Project Expo. Passionate about robotics and emerging technologies, Mayank shared that LPU’s advanced laboratories, innovation-driven ecosystem and strong reputation in the field had motivated him to choose the university. Having interacted with the university leadership, faculty members and fellow students during Experience LPU 2026, he expressed confidence that he had made the right decision and felt even more motivated to pursue ambitious goals in the years ahead.

The event also provided parents with a first-hand understanding of the university ecosystem through campus tours and interactions with faculty and leadership. Many parents expressed satisfaction after witnessing LPU’s strong emphasis on student safety, discipline, and well-being and career development. Installation of PeopleSoft HRMS

Go to https://edelivery.oracle.com and download the PeopleSoft HCM application. Extract the zipped contents into your desired location. You will get two folders in it – Disk 1 and Disk 2. Open Disk 1 folder and run the setup file. A PeopleSoft Installer will open. Click on ‘Next’ to continue. Accept the terms and click on ‘Next’. You will have to enter a license code here.

You can get a license code from https://www.oracle.com/support/license-codes/peoplesoft.html. Scroll down a bit till you get ‘Human Capital Management’. Copy the code given for ‘Oracle’, give it in the installer, and click on ‘Next’. Select the ‘Non-Unicode Database’ option and click on ‘Next’. Keep clicking on ‘Next’ until you get the ‘Install’ button. Click on ‘Install’ to begin the installation. Once the installation is complete, click on the ‘Done’ button.

Difference between PeopleSoft HRMS and Workday HCM

Both PeopleSoft HRMS and Workday HCM serve the purpose of easing the work of HR. However, they have some differences too. Let’s take a look at them.

  • PeopleSoft HRMS is both an on-premise and cloud solution. Workday is only a cloud-based solution.
