Jennifer Lopez is reflecting on her parenting journey as her twins prepare for a major new chapter.
The 56-year-old entertainer appeared on the SmartLess podcast this week, where she spoke candidly about her 18-year-old children, Emme and Max, getting ready to head off to college.
While discussing the milestone, Jennifer shared how proud she feels of what she has accomplished as a mother.
“It’s crazy. And now I can really look at my life, appreciate it for what it is and what I’ve created for myself and be really happy,” Jennifer said in conversation with hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.
She went on to celebrate her children’s academic achievements, saying, “And both my kids got into all their colleges and they both got scholarships and they’re going where they want to go.”
Jennifer shares Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony and appeared to be throwing some shade at his alleged lack of assistance in raising their twins.
Looking back on the experience of raising them, the Office Romance star added, “It’s just … I was like, ‘You did that s–t all by yourself.’ That’s great. Like, ‘You had very little help,’ you know?”
The remarks come weeks after Emme‘s high school graduation, which the “All I Have” singer attended alongside her ex-husband Ben Affleck‘s son Samuel. Marc Anthony appeared to be a no-show.
Find out what Jennifer had to say about the rumors she’s dating her Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein.
